...that they aren't on the team. Another baseball season is over for the Panthers. Can't say we are too sad this one is over. It was a really frustrating one for Mick. He usually is pretty good about leaving the game on the field, but this year he just couldn't shake it. He probably had more talent than he has ever had, yet there year was very average and they didn't even make it to the state tournament. We had REALLY high hopes for this year, and they were certainly flushed down the tubes. But what we did learn is that character and work ethic are more important than raw talent. That a team is more important than the individual and that meshing as a team is really vital. We still love all the boys (at least SayJ and Micah and I do, just kidding Mick does too:)). But what I really love is how much apart of the team and game that the kiddos get to be. Micah has no idea that he isn't on the team, or at least an assistant coach and SadieJane thinks that everyone at the ballfield is there to play just with her. For me it was an easier season as both kiddos are more independent and can ride in the car easily. The little things really make a difference in being able to support Mick and the team this year. So thankful that we were able to get that time with him, even if it was through the chainlink. Can't wait til softball season...well, yes I can. But at least I am not dreading being in season any longer.
