You can see from these pictures Micah was well taken care of at the playground. He wasn't so sure about all of these tunnels and houses; he apparently is a little clausterphobic? He loved the mulch and I did not. That stuff is pretty yucky to me. It seems to make a lot of dust and irritated our eyes. That was just a random sidenote, but Mick wanted to put that stuff in the backyard and I say no thanks. Today is our last day of Micah and me time so hopefully we can make it one more day and then Mick will be home tomorrow and I plan to read and sunbathe all day! Ha Ha, yeah right!

play with bay
potty talk
This is funny to me...now whether it is funny to those reading is altogether different. If you don't like to discuss bodily functions skip this post...but in our house it is a daily conversation. And I am not neccesarily talking about Micah with that.
But back to Micah. He never poops when I leave him with Nana. I thought this was strange til I realized that she never leaves his side. His potty time is usually spent under the kitchen table where I leave him playing until I hear some straining and grunting and then I go change his stinky self. On Tuesday I had to leave him with Nana for most of the day. He never went. As soon as she walked out the door, he went to the kitchen table and pushed a very large present out. Turns out the boy just needs his privacy. Too funny! Nana wont let him go anywhere alone so he just holds it til he gets that alone time. We love Nana and are so thankful for her constant love and attention for Micah but his colon really thinks she should back off! Sorry for the crappy story but I thought this would be fun to read to Micah later in life.

pure sweetness!
Although these past few weeks have been hard there are moments in the day that I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. This morning we had one of those moments. Micah has not been sleeping well at night ( I think he misses his daddy). So when he gets up in the morning he isn't so rested...or in other words he is cranky and ornery. But he has taken to putting himself down for his nap. It is so cute. I really enjoy watching Regis and Kelly if I can so he plays while I do that. Micah usually goes down for his morning nap right after that. But two days this week he has crawled up in the chair with me and fallen asleep on me. The first day he fell asleep on my shoulder but today he wanted to sit beside me and watch tv. (He never watches tv so I figured it would be ok) I didn't think he would give up so easily but all of the sudden I could feel drool running down my arm. Out he went without a fuss or fight. I wanted to sit and hold him the whole nap...but I am not that crazy I know what would happen tonight if I did that...he would want momma again. Micah is getting so big and when I carried him to his crib I had to be careful not to bonk his noggin or his feet because he has gotten so tall. As I kissed his sweet face before putting him down I thought about how crazy it is that he is mine and I am his...what an amazing gift. Thank you, Jesus!

water, water, everywhere!
Mick did get to see us on Monday for a brief period before he had to get back to school work. During that time we went to dinner and on the way home we heard Micah chuckling...not laughing really but chuckling. I look back at him and he is banging his sippy cup on his leg. I am like well now that is just so funny, Micah. I gave him his cup in hopes that he would perform a miracle and drink out of it like other kids I know...not that I am comparing! Then I realize why he is laughing. He had somehow gotten the top loosened and poored the whole cup out onto himself. Hardly any got on the seat because his intentions were obviously to soak his clothes. He found the whole scene amusing and Mick and I couldn't help but laugh too. Of course it was deemed my fault because I was the one who gave him the cup...like I loosened it and hoped that he would poor it all out, right!
crazy week
I am a single mom this week...I don't know how real single moms do it. The past three weeks Mick has not been home much at all but this week is the worst. Seriously he will not get home this week before ten o clock any day! Yikes. Micah and I are just flying solo this week. Funny how Micah decides to stop sleeping through the night on our craziest week. Oh well. I have had lots of silly little things that I would have posted about but I can't do it with a baby on my hip. He is napping now but I know that is shortlived so I will have a few silly stories to follow, if he keeps snoozin'!
