the band perry.

so close.

Sadie Jane's first concert.

Taron and I...why do I look way sweatier than the girl who is 8 mths pregnant?

Micah hoarding his goods. He and Jaxson don't share to well with one another.
The fam
The boys.
Maxsim got to enjoy the concert too.:)
Us with the band...Sadie Jane was enamored by one of the brothers.
Trying to get these boys standing still. Not happening.
and not with this one either.

This weekend Mick was gone virtually the whole time. He didn't get home either night until closer to morning the next day actually. But we managed and thanks to hanging out with friends it wasn't so bad. I am working on another post about death dealing with some things that are going on so that stuff isn't forgotten but wanted to share some good stuff too.
Sunday we went to church and then got a few things done as a family then we headed to a concert for a band that Taron, Jaxson, Micah and I all just love. Taron found out about the concert a few weeks ago and we had been planning to go ever since. Somehow when we plan things - stuff happens - but we made it to the concert and had a blast. The Band Perry is a group of three siblings and they are awesome. They sing the country song "If I Die Young". Which is a big hit right now. I guess they haven't made it big quite yet because it wasn't that packed and they talked to EVERYONE there. So nice. Made me a for sure fan now. And they Micah told them he played guitar so they gave him a guitar pick. He was so excited! They signed Taron's belly and thought it was hilarious. We headed home and to eat at the Varsity on the way and it was just an overall great day. We had good family time, which Mick and I hadn't talked in a week and we had such fun with friends.

Confessions and Thoughts from a CRAZY Momfriedbrain:

This post is simply for encouragement for each of you out there. To make you feel much better about yourself. You are welcome.

I have been having random thoughts, what's new? and wanted to put them together for a blog post. So here's my confessions in no particular order:

I still rock Sadie Jane to sleep every time. I know.

I don't shower much.

Although I fall asleep .2 seconds after saying "goodnight, love you honey", when he isn't there it takes me hours to go to sleep.

I don't brush my daughters hair.

I honestly miss "The Hills".

Even though I have read So Long Insecurity, I still find myself a wee bit insecure, sorry Beth.

I am still breastfeeding and yes people she has teeth. For some reason everyone(ok, not everyone) thinks that if you nurse once they get teeth you'll be nippleless.

I still can't stand dropping Sadie Jane in nursery...or leaving her there.

I secretly think Micah is HILARIOUS. But I still can't tell him.

I love my life right now. Usually, I loved it then or I'll love it in a bit, but surprisingly I love it right now.

Lately I see my sister once a week. Didn't see that coming...

Planned Micah's birthday party in my head for weeks coordinating tablecloths and games, etc. Sadie Jane's is getting in where it fits in and has no theme. How can I be so cruel?

I secretly think Sadie Jane is THE sweetest thing ever put on this earth. And I tell her probably too too much.

I stop everything when Micah wakes up from his nap to hold him for a good thirty minutes. That is now...gotta go. to be continued.

Oh, he's a Monkey alright!

Micah started school this week for the second time. Not near emotional this go round that is for sure! He walked right in and loves his new class and new teacher. He is going in the same class as his bff Jaxson so we aren't sure how they will do together but so far so good. Micah is also starting gymnastics again and loving it! Big boy loves life and has fun doing it! But he is also living life large in the fit department. Yesterday he maxed out his fit pitching abilities and I nearly maxed out my patience. Of course it happened at the chicken house for many to see and those that didn't see it they definitely heard it. The girl in the bathroom actually told her mom she was scared! AND I hadn't even spanked him at that point. So our first day of school was definitely followed by a good fit just like last year. Micah also started back gymnastics, for agility, again and loves it too! Gymnastics is done on his own so that is fun for us all. And lastly I am starting a bible study at church during the week and leaving Sadie Jane in nursery for TWO hours! GASP, I know I can't believe it either. All for Jesus, I say, all for Him. Seriously it is really exciting to sit under an awesome teacher and really get to learn. It is going to be a tough class. Genesis...a Precept study. But I am excited for what God is going to teach all of us in these new areas of our lives. And Mick is around here somewhere ...coming through the door...getting a shower and heading back out. Thankful that he continues to work hard and win ballgames so that I get to do all this with our babies!

Long Weekend Fun

On the way down with his icee and shades.
trying for a picture of both on the slides, just wishful thinking.
One croc left behind.

Micah didn't want to be apart of this picture. Stinker.
Already wanting to do it by herself.
Deciding she'd take Daddy's help.

Micah went from not sure about it...
to, please watch this, Momma!!

And Mick suggested we borrow this boys suit for next time.

SayJ didn't want to be near the fountain.

Micah again choosing to chill out away from us.

SayJ with my cousin Jessica.

All conked out after a busy day.

We spent Sunday at Cent. Olympic Park in the ATL. We had wanted to go apple pickin' but discovered it was quite the trek for the day. So, we headed downtown and had a lot of fun. Micah loved the fountains. The last time we went was with Hayden and Micah wouldn't even get close. But Sunday he was all in! Sadie Jane loved the playgrounds and just being able to walk everywhere in the grass. We brought a blanket and had snacks and just had a good day as a family...much needed with the upcoming weeks. When we got home my cousins stopped by for a quick visit and then everyone (except me) pooped out for a bit. Micah didn't want to take a nap and said he wasn't tired...but he layed down with Mick for 2.5 seconds and was snoring in no time. Mick followed suit a few minutes later.

The tradition continues...

of having children with fred flintstone feet. Sadie Jane has been walking for a while now but we hadn't done the whole buy the shoes thing. So we seriously shopped Friday and Saturday squooshing her feet into shoe after shoe...and what did we end up with? Crocs...you know those lovely shoes that you see in EVERY picture of Micah since he could walk? Here we go again. The tradition of wide feet and croc-wearing in the winter continues. Who is going to get my narrow-can't-even-wear-sam&libby's-when-they-were-in-style-feet if we don't have another baby??

Also, Sadie Jane's hair is out. of. control. I have tried to figure out what to do and last night we did pigtails. Squint hard, or you'll miss'em. She hated every moment of it but I loved it. She rips all hairbows out so this is my only option for girliness.
