Happy BayDay!

Our niece Bay turned 8 this year!! Crazy. She is still an awesome girl and we all love her so much. She is SOOO good with Sadie Jane and SayJ loves her Bay. We went to MoMoYa's for her special day and had such fun. Except SadieJane hates the fire. Bay was having a sleepover party which means she is now too old to invite us to her parties. So sad. Can't believe she is growing up so fast. Happy Birthday Bay Leigh! We love you and are so proud of you!

Fresh Air

Bad Mood Bird. He is wearing a hat, but he isn't doing it happily.
Happy Haydee. Love him.

Lovely cookies...sad one on the right was toast. The big guys had to cook alot longer...you can't tell boys that though.

Today was our first day without Daddy. Mick went back to work and so it is documented. Sadie Jane had her fever and strep the day before Mick got home for break. We then had Micah and I with strep throat. Mick with a colonoscopy and then the stomach virus...oh yeah...beautiful. Sadie Jane with the stomach virus. Now Micah with another virus and we went yesterday to the doctor Mick's last day at home and Micah now has an ear infection. We know how to do it up right. I am so glad I breastfed my babies right?? We had seriously gone a long bout without any of us being sick and thanks to prayer, vitamins and exercise I have stayed functionally well through all of it. Someone has to change diapers, feed our children and administer all the drugs. Mick was a champ too, he just got hit by a mactruck dealing with him "cleansing". So the bright side is we got continuous uninterrupted family of four time as no one else wanted to hang with us...who can blame them since our home seems to be a petri dish of germs? We all got lots of snuggles (hence the sharing of multiple sicknesses) and we played with our toys from Christmas extensively. Today it was finally warm enough and we got out of the house for some fresh air...ahhhh. Felt good, a little cold but so nice to breathe non lysol sprayed air for a change. Hayden came over too so it was nice to have a playmate for Micah other than Momma or Daddy. As always I say you don't value your health and wellness til you don't have it. Sheesh. I will shout praises to the Lord when we can all wake up one morning and feel great...I am not kidding.

Ringin' the New Year in...and Sickness OUT!

Our family photo, courtesy of Mick
Can you tell my kids get limited beverages?

Kisses for his girl! I love this!

Well, well, well. We are STILL fighting sickness in our house. I have lost count of the number of days, but it seems like forever anyways. Micah had another fever separate from the strep throat fever. Good grief. So we had planned to have friends over and have a fun exciting new year. Well, I mean as exciting as we get with two children. Truth be told, we didn't do anything that exciting before we had them, but at least now we are excused since we have them. But since Micah had a fever we spent New year's eve alone. But it was still fun for the family, kind of...We toasted and that was definitely the highlight of our night. The new kids on the block and the backstreet boys performed together and I teased Mick that was my actual highlight. Although it wasn't THE highlight it was pretty exciting. So Happy New Year to each of you and here's to health and happiness in 2011, isn't that what people say?

How all of the Harper's feel...

Yesterday I was so tired because I had been up with SayJ most of the night. I went to take a nap and left Mick in charge. When he turned around to check on SadieJane this is what he found. He took pictures so I could see. This has never happened before and he knew I wouldn't believe him. But seriously there has been so much sickness in our house that we all could just fall out at any moment from exhaustion. Sadie Jane just beat us all to it.

Alumni Dinner

Stephanie, Hannah, Me, Destiny, Camille, Mariah, Lauren, and Mac. Ashli left before we could get the picture.

Before I had babies I spent alot of time hanging out with the softball girls...leading a Bible study and getting to know them. Unfortunately with two babies there isn't near as much time for that. But around Christmas time I try to have the ones that have graduated over for dinner. You know you are officially not cool anymore when they all leave by 830 to go someplace else. But I understand, I was young once. Hahaha. Micah and Sadie Jane loved having the girls over. Although halfway through Micah asked when the softball girls were going to get here, he apparently didn't recognize them without their uniforms.

He'll be here all week, Folks.

Bay was too scared to be sent up. Our Christmas is often like the circus in so many ways. HA.

White Christmas (orignal title?)

What it's ALL about.

These are pictures of our day in reverse order. We had Christmas with the kiddos, then Christmas with my parents, Grandmama, Aunt Dot and sister's family, then Christmas with Mick's parents and his sister's family. It was a busy day but loads of fun. For those that live up north we had our first white Christmas and it was just beautiful. Not so much snow that it kept us off the roads, but enough to make everything look pretty. Micah actually wasn't crazy about being in the cold so we didn't get to play in it much. He is so like his Daddy. So maybe next year SadieJane will play with me! As always the babies made it so much fun. Hayden, Chase, Bay and Charlee Ray make our kids just as happy as getting presents so it was double the fun to get to be with cousins AND get presents.
