Phew!

Man oh man. Life with two kiddos is so seriously different than one. Especially if one of those children is Micahbird. I mean he is seriously a full time job on his own and then add in miss sayj and you've got it. Phew! I say this all day long. It's like we just barely get by lots of the time. Today I attempted to go to the grocery store with both of them. I will say it a million times but momma's with multiples or with a whole lot of babies I don't know how in the world you do it! I mean, you can't put a 2 year old and a baby seat and groceries all in one cart. So today SayJ went kangaroo style in the sling. She did so good, but her head control isn't all that great still so I was worried about her the whole time...and Micah wanted the dadgum buggy with the big honkin car attached so I ran all over the place. I feel like often times there is someone following me with a camera because surely this should be a joke, right? And then Micah accidentally sits on the buckle in the car part that was sticking straight up!! Ouch! He was seriously writhing in pain holding his booty crack. Yep, that is my life. I am cracking up now thinking about it though. Phew! We are home now and they are both asleep for the moment. They usually wont overlap for more than 3.5 minutes. Another conspiracy the two of them have against me. Anyways, just needed some blogtherapy of vomiting my thoughts onto the keyboard:) Thanks for still reading...you must be really bored!

Last thing...Mick asked me yesterday if I was writing down all the things Sadie Jane does in a book the way that I did with Micah. Ouch! Writing? A book? Ummm, that is a no. Poor SayJ. So I wanted to jot some things down about her so that I am not the worst mother ever. She should be glad I haven't neglected her pictures though!

The Facts:

~Girl is hefty...don't know how much but we'll find out in a few weeks at her 4 month appt.

~She had been sleeping great in her bed, but we are trying to ween from the swaddle...not going well. AKA up FIVE times last night. Anyone suggestions??

~ Eats every 3 hours or less!

~ Takes a bottle like a champ. Thank you Jesus.

~Can roll one way.

~Loves to eat her hands and on some days is addicted to her thumb. Other days she acts like she has no idea what it is.

~ Smiles, laughs and talks alot. She is so happy almost all of the time. If she's crying and not in her seat in the car I(which she hates unless she's asleep) I immediately thinks something is wrong...because she only cries for a reason. (Not like her brother who cried just for kicks ALOT and matter of fact still does:))

~Loves boys, especially her Daddy, Bubba and Hayden.

~ Is the cutest girl I've ever seen:) Thank goodness I had a girl since Micah is the cutest boy I've ever seen. Don't worry I know that each of yours also happens to be the cutest you've ever seen. Just had to say it though because I worried if I would think that...and even if they aren't cute to anyone else they are to me.

Our God is So Big...

If you know Micah these are his two prized possessions. If the house was on fire Lamby and Blankey are first on the list to grab:)
Footed pj's and sharing the playmat

Love them.
Getting a little carried away!
SayJ's pink blankie and Micah with his.

and He is for us. Our sunday school lesson this week was on the thought or fact really that if we believed the truth that God is for us and wants what is best for us how then would we live our lives? I am trying to conciously believe that and have faith that God is truly for me each and every day, no matter the circumstantial situation I am in. I have had a hard time writing anything on the blog since the anonymous commenter left their mark. I overanalyze each subject I want to write about now and whether it will be understood or whether I will accidentally offend. But even in that I know that God is in control and I can not live my life controlled by what others think of me...I have to trust that God is indeed for me even in that. Somehow using it to refine me and make me more like Jesus.

As for the pictures...they are of Micahbird and his Baby Sister...that is what he calls her. Only if you ask her name will he actually say Sadie Jane. These picture are of him caring for her. While the adjustment period has been really hard for Micah with us (worst day ever yesterday and another post entirely) but he has never balked once at the fact that he is SayJ's big brother and that his responsibility is to help care for her. It is a parallel that falls pretty short but when I went to download these pictures and I was thinking about this post it made me think about the way that Say J looks at Micah. He had come down from his nap and loaded SayJ down with his favorite things...it meant so much to see him do that because he is so territorial with them. Yet without thinking anything about it, he covered his baby sister up and shared! She just loves him, you can tell. And He absolutely loves her. He always wants to take care of her and there isn't any doubt to her or to us that Micah will look out for her. I feel like this is true (to the extent of a two year old loyalty:)) Yet sometimes I can't understand God, someone infinitely greater than my sinful little son is for me all the time. He would give me his "Lamby" or blankie and he would do anything for me. Just a thought. A far stretch of thought but I did get two posts into one nonetheless!

We Miss Our Des!

Des showed Micah how to take all the pillows off the couch and make a trampoline...so he wanted us to take our picture on the trampoline.

Des is below the pillows even though you can't see her with the camo on!

Micah and Des...or Dediny

Me and Des...I get almost as excited as Micah does to hang out with her..

One treat about Christmas break is all the college students that come home for the holiday's. We got to see a ton of Mick's softball girls and even a few of the baseball boys...they don't come around near as much... the whole house full of babies tends to drive the boys away:) But one of the coolest and most special students we know is "Our Destiny" we call her ours even though everybody really loves her and fights over time with her during breaks. I've put pictures of her on here before I never really talk about how much we really do love her...or why. She is just the neatest kid and Micah thinks she's his personal assistant. Whenever she comes over Micah gets so excited and forces her to play all kinds of games. And she does! Des is such a good example of what we want Sadie Jane to grow up to be. She is a godly woman but not stuffy. She has her priorities and convictions straight yet she can still have fun and minister to those who aren't exactly like her. Just so proud of her...you can tell we love her like she's almost our own. She stopped by today on her way back to Savannah to play softball at college and she wont be home again til summer!!! We are so sad but plan on possibly trying to make our spring break trip down to the beach close to her school. She sometimes finds time to read the blog, so Des, if you are reading...come home soon! We love you!

Happy Birthday Bay!

Yesterday was our niece Bay's 7th Birthday Party. For the first year she no longer wanted me to sit by her, she wanted her friend Mckenna to:) I knew the day was coming:( She had a "tiny party" where everything was tiny...it was at the gymastics place and Mick, I mean, Micah had a great time. I got to catch up with one of my best friends April so that was exciting too. She is famous now, she was in the movie The Blind Side, and if you haven't seen it you should...it is such a good movie and although April's part was small (one line:)) I pray that it opens doors for her future! Micah and Christian were the only two boys at the party but neither of them seemed to notice. Wendy took better pictures of the party because I was running my mouth...so hopefully I can get one of Micah and all the ladies...it was too cute.

Snow Day!

Bundling up...just after this Micah fell over. Hilarious!
Getting his shovel ready.

Shoveling.

It was soooo cold.
I volunteered to go out with him because Mick dispises the snow playing and I usually force him to go.
Brrr...
More of the shoveling...
My favorite pic...thanks Mick our photographer from inside the house.

Nice snotshot.

Now cleaning off the fort.

Looks like he's coming down the snowlift.
He would not come down the slide

Making snow ice cream. Yummy!
yum.

In progress...comments to come...

My first negative blog experience...

I have had friends who have questioned blogging because of responses and misunderstandings regarding their blogs. I have always told them not to worry about it and to keep being themselves. I almost always prayerfully consider and mull over what I am writing for a few days before I post something...especially if it was something like my "Dear Friends" post. Then just a little while ago I happened to scroll down and realize I had gotten another comment...this is what I got to read:

Is this to a particular person? Because in all honesty, if this is how you feel and you want to make amends with those friends, then you should be sitting down and talking to whoever it is in person, instead of making a blanket blog post to everyone and expecting forgiveness.

Hmmmm...so many thing I want to say and since they posted as anonymous I have no way in knowing who in the world thinks of me this way or read the blog in a way that they thought I was seeking true forgiveness for a true wrong. Unfortunately satan has already used it to make me question almost every friendship I have...except those who had already posted:) So, my only recourse (which I really wish I didn't feel the need to justify myself...but you all know me and apparently if this person reads my blog they would know I couldn't just brush this off) but if whoever wrote this is a "friend" of mine I know them very little and they know me even less. But here is my response:

First of all whoever you are you are welcome to email me next time or just leave your name if you have something negative to say so that way we can have this discussion privately. Secondly this was NOT to a particular person at all. I even told Mick to read it because it covered him as well. It truly was meant to be a blanket blog for others to relate to and for me to say a small piece of what is happening in this season of my life. I was not truly asking forgiveness in a way of intentionally feeling I had wronged someone. I think I even said that I wasn't really sorry because I am only distant from friends because I am busy with motherhood...an area God has called me to before anything else. I am torn between the two but know that what I am doing is most important. I would always apologize to whoever I felt I had wronged personally, not on my blog. I don't feel that I need forgiveness from anyone about this stage in my life unless they come to me and are hurt by something I have done. I am thinking obviously whoever wrote this might feel wronged by me and I would love to make that right...please give me that opportunity though. Maybe I am mistaken but most of my friends are in similar positions as me (thus why I wrote the blog) and I wrote the blog to be just what it was...an extension of what I am feeling at this time.

So now I will obviously take some time to rethink the purpose of my blog. Obviously I want the Lord to be glorified in all I do and say and WRITE and if I am being misunderstood here I want to fix that if possible. I do want to know if I have wronged someone and I do want to hear others opinions it is just hard for me if I can not respond to them. Thus, this extremely long post. If anyone else took this post the way the anonymous commenter did then please let me know and I do apologize if you felt I was trying to skirt a personal issue with someone in particular. Perhaps my lack of writing skills made it seem that way but it just wasn't the case. To be continued for now...

Vacation, What Vacation?

Making manly muffins:)
Reading with Daddy

This was right before bathtime...thus SayJ is naked!

I am pretty sure if Mick were to write a blog those would be his sentiments! The kiddos were sick before Christmas, plus family issues, plus cleaning and entertaining. So while we had two weeks with Daddio it seemed more like two days. Tomorrow will be a rude awakening for all of us. Micah usually has a meltdown for a week when things change. He is such a creature of habit and consistency...I wonder where he gets that? I will also have to go back to juggling two kiddos on my own. The man to man defense is much easier than zone. Mick did get to spend good time with both kiddos and we are so thankful for that. They both love their Daddy so much. These are just a few pictures I got of them with Mick.
